College Shower
The College Shower is a celebration of Girls Inc. participants who are graduating seniors hosted by the Wise Women, GIWC Leadership Team, and GIWC Board of Directors. All College Shower Eligible participants and their families will be invited to a closing ceremony and celebration.
High School Senior Eligibility and Requirements:
We’ve broken the eligibility criteria into three categories with increased participation and involvement in Girls Inc. programming for each tier. Eligible participants will be tracked via Compass 360 database and will need to submit the following information regardless of the potential tier:
- Apply to and plan to attend college after high school**
- Show proof of acceptance (or denials) of all schools applied
- Show proof of scholarship search and application (outside of Girls Inc. Scholarship)
- Provide their shirt/hoodie size
- Picture or headshot
- Written testimonial about Girls Inc. programming experience and impact on their growth as a young woman.
**If you do not plan to attend college after graduation you must have a documented alternative plan. (i.e. proof of job, career, apprenticeship, etc.)**

- Successful participation in Girls Leadership Council with 75% attendance AND attend the Youth Leadership Summit
Or
- Successful completion of GIWC College and Career Readiness programming with 75% attendance and 3 college/career exploration trips/events
- At least 2 years of participation in GIWC programming with a minimum total of 60 hours by May 31st of graduating year
- Active Status during the graduating school year with a minimum of 15 hours of GIWC programing (this includes in person, virtual, events, and trips) – this excludes recreational trips ie. movie
- Participant must complete a GIWC exit survey
- Participant must complete a written testimonial to their GIWC experience.
