5 YEARS STRONG, SMART, BOLD ...AND GROWING
Oh what a night it was! Friends old and new, and Girls Inc. girls gathered on May 9th to celebrate our 5th anniversary at the American Yacht Club in Rye, NY. What started as a dream around founding members’ dining room tables has had an impact on more than 1,800 Westchester girls from Yonkers to Mt. Kisco; New Rochelle to Ossining; Peekskill to Port Chester; and White Plains to Mt. Vernon.

Welcome to the Revolution!
For almost 150 years, Girls Inc. has reached out to girls across the country by providing programs and advocacy that empower girls to reach their full potential and assert their rights.
In 2007, Girls Inc. Westchester opened its doors to fulfill that same mission here in Westchester.
At GIWC, we believe that girls deserve environments in which they are taken seriously for who they are, what they do, and how they think and feel. We also believe that girls deserve relationships with adults who understand their needs and strengths, challenge them to take risks, and expect them to soar. Working together with schools and community organizations throughout the county -- and thanks to your support -- we provide these life-changing experiences and role models to girls across Westchester.
Growing and Planning Together in New Rochelle
Growing and Planning Together is a 4 part series currently running at Isaac E. Young Middle School in New Rochelle that works with caregivers and their middle school daughters to foster strong communication around health and finance. The sessions address money management and security planning, and provide tools for caregiver-daughter communication on sexuality and planning for the future.
